An RSS Server, enables the distribution, management, reading and tracking of internal and external RSS, ATOM and XML web feeds behind an organization's firewall. Using a web feed server, IT administrators can create users and groups and define subscriptions for each. Typically a web feed server manages the synchronization of web feeds between desktop, browser and mobile RSS readers connected to the server.
The RSS Feeds can be sent to desktop PCs both inside and outside the firewall.
The RSS Feeds can be sent to mobile devices.
RSS Articles can be easily sent to specific users or groups of users (departments)
A network admin can also have specific message displayed to everyone, for example 'Fire Drill at 5:00pm today'.
