JRSSTray is a free Java Web Start application that monitors RSS feeds and displays new items discretely in the system tray. Multiple feeds can be added and a list of recent items can be seen by clicking an icon in the system tray. A simple refined interface makes it easy to add new feeds and view items currently published in each feed. JRSSTray will periodically check each RSS feed in the background and display a discrete message popup containing the title and description the moment new items are published. A list of recent items is maintained across all feed providing a brief summary of all new items. All items containing hyperlinks provide functionality to quickly jump to the full published story within your Internet browser.
