Media Universe is a photo database for home users and professional photographers. Integrated in 'My Computer', it has the most familiar and intuitive interface known to Windows users. Use drag & drop to download your photos from your digital camera to the Photo Archive, automatically ordered by date; organize pictures from your hard drive and other devices in categories; scan photo disks and browse your entire CD Collection without inserting the disks; add notes to any object, including folders and files; send images automatically by email, without uploading them one by one; set image covers to all different objects to recognize them by their appearance. Photo Media Universe can also organize image files accross computer networks. A central database can be used to assign various pictures on different computers to the same category, visible to all users. In network mode, the Photo Archive acts as a central storage folder for all images and company employees or agents can automatically download pictures from their digital cameras to the same place, with no file naming conflicts. Home EditionPhoto Media Universe Home Edition can not be used in network mode. It provides all available features, except for adding photos to a user object (categories and disks can be added). Network Edition allows you to organize the photos of an entire company in a central database with common categories and user objects. Pictures can be added to user objects and these can be used to present various graphic materials to employees and clients. More InfoThe trial version contains the Network Edition and can be evaluated for 20 days. When the trial period expires, you can active either the Home or the Network Edition, depending on the version that you buy. |
